Born in Athens, Greece, in 1987. Kalliopi graduated from the Physic’s department of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a diploma thesis on the subject of “ Air quality assessment in 30 buildings in Attica Prefecture”. She completed her internship in Hellenic National Meteorological Service in the field of meteorologicals and climates changes. In 2016 she received her master degree in Environmental Physics from the same university. Her MSc thesis titled “Use of MODIS satellite data for the spatio-temporal analysis of surface temperature at medium-sized urban centers in Greece during 2001-2015”. The period from 2018 until 2020, she worked as research fellow at National Observatory of Athens in the field of typical meteorological years construction and atmospheric modelling for the project KRHPISII. In 2021, she continued her research at NOA in the field of future typical meteorogical years construction. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Chemistry Department in the University of Crete and her doctoral thesis deals with “Carbonaceous aerosols over the Eastern Mediterranean”, with Supervisor Prof. N. Mihalopoulos and Dr. E. Liakakou for NOA.
