Born in London, UK, in 1975. Studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Civ. Eng. Dept. of Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK and received her MEng. in 1997. Obtained her Ph.D. from the Dept. of Environmental Science and Technology at the same university in the field of Urban Air Quality and Environmental Modelling with subject “Numerical Modelling of Dispersion of Atmospheric Pollution in and above Urban Canopies” (2001). In parallel she worked as a part-time researcher at the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the field of modelling of environmental flows (1998 – 2001). Worked as Research Staff at the University of Athens (Division of Environmental Physics and Meteorology) in the field of Indoor Air Quality and Urban Pollution (2001 – 2004). Employed at the National Observatory of Athens in 2004 as Junior Researcher and promoted to Senior Researcher in 2012. She has been involved in over 20 projects, as coordinator or research associate funded by national and /or EU sources, she has more than 75 publications in peer reviewed international journals and conferences.

Design and Implementation of scaled experiments and field measurements (Indoor and Outdoor areas)

Chemical Transport Modelling

Emission inventory development

CFD modelling (indoor and outdoor environments)
