Born in Athens, Greece, in 1976. Studied Physics at the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and received her degree in 1999. She worked as research associate and support staff (laboratory and administrative assistant) at the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (Solar and Other Energy Systems Laboratory) during the period 1999-2000, involved in calibration of scientific instruments, energy systems testing, project management and administrative assistance. She received her M.Sc. in “Environmental Impact Assessment, Auditing and Management Systems” in 2001 at the School of Environmental Studies of the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. She worked as consultant and project manager at EMI S.A. – Management Consultants (private sector), Athens, mainly participating in certification of quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001 and 14001). She is research associate at the Institute for Environmental Research and Sustainable Development (IERSD), National Observatory of Athens, since 2002.

Air quality, atmospheric physics and chemistry (aerosols, clouds, etc.)
Solar radiation measurements
GIS and remote sensing, in-situ measurements
