APCG participates actively in the 1st science meeting of the RI-URBANS H2020/GD project, which is held in Barcelona, on 19 and 20 October. Advances in the emissions downscaling over cities is discussed and promoted to the numerical atmospheric modelling partnership of the project. Dr. Eleni Athanasopoulou pointed out that "the updated and high resolution emission inventory will be supporting new CTM applications of the ultrafine particle numbers over Athens, in consistency to RI-Urbans goals for next year." In parallel, Ultra Fine Particles, Oxidative Potential and Black Carbon measurements systematically performed by APCG, will support the role of Athens as a key pilot city, in multiple tasks of the project.
