The APCG group represents IERSD/NOA at the ATMO-ACCESS and RI-URBANS projects consortiums. Through this position, Eleni Athanasopoulou - being the organizer of the ATMO-ACCESS Trans National Access (TNA) activities for public authorities- raised awareness for the TNA capabilities public authorities have, through two webinars in the frame of the project ATMO-ACCESS.

The APCG group represents IERSD/NOA at the ATMO-ACCESS and RI-URBANS projects consortiums.

- On 23rd February 2023, Eleni Athanasopoulou was invited in the RI-URBANS Polish Stakeholder Meeting, which took place in a hybrid format at the Institute of Geophysics, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The Polish stakeholders participating in this meeting, represented 23 National institutions (Institutes, Universities and the public sector) dealing with atmospheric/ air quality issues. Eleni explained the possibilities of atmospheric monitoring, data, products and services offered to the public authorities, through their ΤΝΑ to the big European facilities (https://www.atmo-access.eu/facilities/) (incl. scientific human power and expertise), in the frame of the ATMO-ACCESS project (you can find the presentation here).

The feedback by the Organizer of the meeting, Prof. Iwona S. Stachlewska (ACTRIS-PL Implementation Coordinator), was about the high interest raised by the talk, in the ATMO-ACCESS monitoring and research activities, and in particular in co-designing the prospective TNA call (https://www.atmo-access.eu/calls/) for the public authorities, towards gaining access to the ATMO-ACCESS facilities. Discussions with the public sector involved the main access pathways to the data, instrumentation, calibration services, and joint-research opportunities provided in the frame of the project.

The discussions that followed involved the main access pathways to the data, facilities, instrumentation, calibration services, and joint-research opportunities, and revealed an interest by the Polish community to participate in the working group dealing with the forthcoming, relevant TNA call (https://www.atmo-access.eu/calls/).

- On 16 March 2023, the European Network of Local Governments for Sustainability, ICLEI Europe, hosted a dedicated webinar to connect ATMO-ACCESS with its members from the public sector. After Eleni’s presentation of the relevant framework, the interaction with the participants revealed their needs for atmospheric monitoring, as well as favored formats of access to the provided facilities and services.

The main outputs of both events will be presented in the General Assembly of ATMO-ACCESS, taking place in Valencia, 29-31 March, 2023.
