The workshop gathered numerous stakeholders and official from the Municipality of Athens to map the city requirements concerning the development of a tree registry and monitoring the impacts of the presence of trees and green areas in general on air quality and the micro-climate in the city of Athens. Emphasis is greatly placed on the actively engagement of citizens early on in the design and implementation of the campaigns.
Apcg is responsible for the deployment of the air quality sensors, to be used by citizens to collect and update information on pollutants levels in areas of interest, as well as for performing mapping of more specialized atmospheric constituents.
