Among others, the workshop highlighted the tools to tackle urban heat and climate change and APCG members were there to present the innovative approach of hotspot mapping the most vulnerable areas of the city of Athens and proposing targeted Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at the building block level.
Fruitful discussions on how civil authorities could actually utilize ways and means to implement NOA’s methodology to achieve resilience in the city of Athens emerged.
The presence and active participation of the Deputy Mayor of Athens for Climate Governance and Social Economy paves the path for an ongoing collaboration and continuation of our research.
