Dr. E. Gerasopoulos, a founding member of the APCG group, was interviewed by the daily newspaper 'To Vima' on the current status of residential heating emissions and impact on the air pollution over Athens during wintertime.
Measurement findings performed by NOA infrastructure, and currently in the frame of PANACEA, indicate that residential wood burning is still a prefered method to warm households in Greek cities, pushing the air pollution levels much higher than the safe WHO limits.
