Born in Texas, USA in 1992, Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of San Diego (2014) and a Master’s Degree in Climate Science & Policy from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego (2017), where her thesis was titled “Potential Health Co-Benefits related to Mitigation of Air Pollution from Wood Burning: A Systematic Literature Review and Health Impact Assessment Case Study in Athens, Greece”. She was a Research Assistant for UCSDs Dept. of Family Medicine & Public Health conducting literature reviews, analysis and writing briefs on climate change impacts to human health in Southern California, such as heat waves and wildfire impacts on human health and vulnerable populations (2017-2018). In 2018, Jennifer worked for the United Nations Environment Programme’s Regional Office for North America as a Chapter Coordinator for the 6th Global Environment Outlook, focusing on strengthening integrated assessments and the science-policy interface in North America. She started at the Institute for Environmental Research & Sustainable Development (NOA) in March 2019 and will focus on sustainable development, and the human health aspect of urban growth and air quality.
