Member of the Greek GEO Office, contact person of the Sustainable Development Goals. Member of the Earth Observations Toolkit for Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements. Project management and proposal preparation as member of the Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Group (APCG). Born in Athens, Greece in 1982. Studied Physics at NKUA and graduated in 2005. M.Sc. degree in Environmental Physics (2008) from the department. His master's thesis was in the field of atmospheric modeling. During 2009-2013 he worked as senior IT of an Intermediary Body (EFEPAE). He then moved to Institute of Environmental Research and Sustainable Development/National Observatory of Athens working under various research/innovation projects.

Research Interests:
Highly interested in the science/policy interface, the exploitation of Earth Observation addressing urban challenges and leveraging the Group on Earth Observation paradigm in Νational/European projects and/or initiatives. Recent PROJECTS of relevance include: InCase 2021-Present: - In Situ data for Climate Adaptation Showcases within EuroGEO. Responsible for the Losses and Damages due to Climate Hazards Showcase. GAUSS 2021-2023: GAUSS - Generating Advanced Usage of Earth Observation for Smart Statistics. Project management and responsible for the Greek Use Case on AQ. EIFFEL 2021-Present: EIFFEL - Revealing the role of GEOSS as the default digital portal for building climate change adaptation & mitigation applications. Leader of the Pilot on urban GHG mitigation and facilitator of interaction with GIDTT/GPP. e-shape 2020-2023: EuroGEO Showcases: Applications Powered by Europe. Responsible for the Greek implementation of the Earth Observation Maturity Indicator (EOMI) methodology.
